This week we honor the memory of our dear library friend Joyce Wilson. I first met Joyce at book club in our library. She immediately made me feel welcome. Several times after book club I went to lunch with her. Joyce often cited David Baldacci books as her favorites – especially the Camel Club series.
In the Camel Club books Baldacci brings to life the adventures of four misfit men who live in the Washington, D.C., area. These men meet regularly in isolated places to argue about international politics. Led by a likable guy who calls himself Oliver Stone, the Camel Club is basically an excuse for its members to feel involved and important. But suddenly the four accidentally witness a real high-level conspiracy in action. Joyce loved the humor in the series.
We have the series at the library if you want to read more. We have –
The Camel Club (also in audiobook)
The Collectors
Stone Cold
Divine Justice
Hell’s Corner (also in audiobook)
